About Uri Horesh

Uri Horesh is Senior Lecturer in Linguistics in the Department of Arabic Language and Literature at Achva Academic College and Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Department of Language and Linguistics at the University of Essex.
Uri holds a PhD in Sociolinguistics from the University of Essex, where they also completed a three-year British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Department of Language and Linguistics. Uri's research focuses on language variation and change, mostly in Levantine dialects of Arabic, and on language contact in the Eastern Mediterranean, predominantly between Palestinian Arabic and Modern Hebrew.
Uri has taught courses in Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Semitic Linguistics, Translation and Arabic and Hebrew as foreign languages, at educational institutions in the United States, the United Kingdom and Palestine.
